About us
Educo is run by volunteers in Ireland to raise funds to educate impoverished children. There are no employees and none of the organizers receive any remuneration. 100% of funds raised go to the target project. Our target is to build a school each year in India, once we have built the school, we will hand it over to a local, experienced body to run.

Our first school in Mumbai is non denominational and is run by the Handmaids of the Blessed Trinity, headed by Sister Paulette.

Sister Paulette	Sister Elisa

The Handmaids of the Blessed Trinity is a Catholic Charity run by Sister Paulette (a dedicated French Mauritian nun, who previously worked for 20 years with Mother Teresa in the slums of Calcutta). The Handmaids have taken vows of chastity, charity and obedience.

Sister Elisa works alongside Sister Paulette.  They and their fellow sisters run 3 orphanages and 2 makeshift schools in some of the poorest areas of Mumbai (at Oberoi, Sahar village beside the International airport and at Uttan).
