Educo Volunteer Team
The group of volunteers who run educo India is made up of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and skill-sets, including operational, management, educational, fundraising, marketing and HR. They meet regularly to deal with all the operational, educational and HR issues that are involved in running the educo programmes. Their remit also includes exploring fundraising opportunities to maintain donations for the schools, and to implement the initiatives proposed by the educo Board of Directors.

Ms. Meenal Srinivasan (Operational Lead) Meenal is a Cost and Management accountant (ICWA intermediate) with an MBA in Finance from Clark University, USA. After her MBA, she returned to India to set up her own BPO in Mumbai. Since 2009 Meenal has worked tirelessly for educo and has been the driving force behind the Saibaba Path school project; she is also one of educo India’s trustees. |

Iain McDonald (educo India Programme Director) Iain has spent 27 years in the corporate world at middle and senior management levels, holding sales, marketing, global account management and International contract negotiation positions for major airlines and IT companies. His career has been of a global nature from the outset and has afforded Iain the opportunity to witness many parts of the world often in severe poverty. Iain has been with educo India for over a year, involved in every aspect of management of our seven programmes throughout the country. |

Claire Nugent (Marketing & Funding Manager) Claire is educo's Marketing & Funding Manager. She is originally Irish but has spent the last 14 years studying and working in Germany and then London. Originally qualified as a German translator, after moving to London Claire transitioned into the marketing world, with her latest role in London being International Marketing Manager for the US company Merrill Corporation. In addition to a postgraduate diploma in law, Claire holds a master’s degree in International Development Studies from Birkbeck College, London. |

Greg Heffernan (Head Teacher & Fundraising) Greg is our Head Teacher at Saibaba Path in Mumbai, and is also involved in organising various fundraising opportunities. He has over 20 years’ experience as a High School teacher in the USA, with his core teaching subjects being English Grammar, History, Literature, Psychology, Drama & Media. He has been an award-winning instructor, listed in the publication - Who’s Who in American High Schools. Greg is also a respected international news journalist, having been an award-winning feature writer for two top Indian magazines in the US. |

Preeti Chaudhry (Teaching Supervisor) Preeti has been working with educo since October 2010 and comes to Saibaba Path school daily to oversee the overall running and management of the school. She brings extensive professional experience and immense passion to her role and has already established herself as a key member of the educo team. |

Bina Malhotra (Educational Consultant) Bina brings to educo a range professional experience in education and training in India and internationally. Passion, commitment & a firm belief in equal educational opportunities have marked her career as a teacher, educator of teachers, academic, career counsellor, college admissions adviser, training professional and educational consultant. She is a specialist in teaching English, as well as of Reading & Writing to learners of all ages. In addition, she helped ARK set up a pilot programme of school change through leadership and has worked on remedial and whole-scale school improvement. |

Shalini Jhingan (HR Manager) Shalini has two children and is currently taking time out from her work as a HR manager for a leading International corporate to bring them up. She is a fully qualified HR Manager and has been working with educo for some time now - advising on employee contracts and other HR activities vital especially to the running of the Saibaba Path school in Mumbai. |

Vibhahkar Kelkar (Educational Consultant) Mr. Vibhahkar Kelkar is an educationist who has spent 12 years with the NGO Plan International, where he set up a Mumbai educational programme. He is well-acquainted with the bureaucracy in the educational sector in Mumbai and facilitated the Public Private Partnership programme that educo has with the BMC (Bombay Municipal Council) at the Saibaba Path school in Mumbai. |
